Hi, my name is Alaina Kalbfell.
I am a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on painting, drawing, and film/animation. I create abstract, otherworldly figures and spaces in order to explore ideas of emotions, thoughts, and dreams.
I find myself exploring ideas of mental health and everyday life situations and feelings through my work. I am currently exploring a new process of painting where I stain the canvas with watered-down acrylic paint, almost like painting with watercolors. This creates a soft and dreamy atmosphere within my work, which I am really drawn to and am continuing to explore.
I feel as if I'm creating my own little world within my art. I hope you enjoy. (-:
